Hi! My name is Pek Shibao, and I am a sustainability analyst based in Singapore. pekstar*studios is my solo photography project.
I've been taking photos since I was 10 years old, when I first got my hands on a dinky Kodak disposable that had to be wound up in between every shot. Since then my toys have grown a little larger, but not much else has changed. I have been lucky enough to see a bit of the world, and in all my travels my camera has remained my constant companion. I hope that some of the images here will stay with you, and remind you that despite how you may feel at this small moment in time, being alive is truly a wonderful thing.
Professionally, I have done commissions for a wide range of organisations and startups, including Social Innovation Park, Tummyzen and the Yale Precision Marching Band. My work has been featured in publications such as Vita Bella and the Yale Globalist. I have also been lucky enough to exhibit my work in various venues and solo shows.
Besides photography, my interests include music, mountains, cats, travel, and beer.
